Abstract
Most of the postgraduate student of medical school are residents or employed doctors. It¡¯s not easy for them to attend regularly at the class. Therefore, tele-education system is needed which free from time and location for the continuous education who work at a distant place. For 2004 2nd and 2005 1st semester, 5 postgraduate students who works in Seoul, Ilsan, Chungju, and Gyeongju took a class through televideo by internet. They logged on to televideo conference system of the postgraduate school conference room in Chungju through IP from their own televideocamera installed personal computer. After finished semester they evaluated the efficiency. Second semester of 2004, the attendance rate was 100% except for one student in Seoul, 1st semester of 2005, 87.5% and 93.8% respectively. The real time face to face lecture through the monitor helped both the professor and the students concentrate on the lecture and had a positive influence upon mutual relationship between them. Also, participants in lecture at there home or office, they saved time and traffic expenses. The real time face to face lecture system had the favorable influence on the mutual relationship among the participants and helped attendants focused into the lecture. The attendance rate marked high. We expect that this lecturing system might be helpful to the continuing education for the graduate students living in different places.
